The following day I was attacked on my route by three hooligans. I placed a police
report and was ordered to continue my route. I beleive the words were “Man, we have
no one to cover for you. If you go home we may have to rethink your employment with
us.” During the rest of that day I just wanted to go home. I attempted a delivery
and accidently scanned it as delivered, but placed a delivery attempt door tag. A
few hours later, I gotten a phone call and was asked about the delivery. I just
wanted to go home. My right eye was swollen, my nose had dried blood, and my ribs
was killing me. So I told him no, I didn’t have it and at the time I thought I
didn’t. When I went to the next stop I seen it and called the base and told them
that I had it and was going to attempt the delivery. So the station manager accused
me of stealing and the bastard called the cops and demaned my job. The cops waited
for me at the womans house and I explained the situation. So the officers scolded
the station manager and told me to go home. When I returned to work the next day. I
once again went into the office. Scolded for having 11 non deliver packages and was
told that I was on a very thin line.

Ever since then I was basically harassed every day. I gotten a complaint that I
didn’t knock the door hard enough so I was forced to watch a 20min video. Then I
gotten a complaint for knocking too hard and I was scolded by the station managers
earlier that day then by my supervisors a few hours later. I gotten yelled at for
attempting a package to a business that don’t open until 12pm. So I was ordered that
no matter where I am, I have to drop everything and deliver the package. Yet when I
do that I get yelled at about falling behind. I think I hit my mark last week.

I attempted a delivery to a man who wasn’t home, so I placed a doortag and thought
that was it. The following day this elderly gentleman who was around 70 strolls in
and screamed his pants off, claiming that he was home all day and I never showed up.
I told my station mananger that I have done three deliveries in that very same
building that day, and he wasn’t home. So they punched up my delivery sheet. First
they asked me why I did a delivery @ 1:26 pm and drove three blocks, went up 15
floors and attempted a delivery @ 1:27. I told him that I did not realize that I
didn’t close out the last stop until I gotten to the following stop. So I was called
a liar to my face. I told him don’t call me a liar and I was there. They say
computers don’t lie and it shows that I never went to his apartment, yet how was I
able to deliver three other stops in that same building. (If I was never there) So
they said that I never gave the man enough time so my supervisor lost his $400
monthly bonus. So my supervisor charged me $100 for loosing his bonus and was told
that I am one of the top three worse drivers in the Syracuse region. Worse driver? I
never gotten a ticket in 10 years. In DHL I have gotten best customer service award
for 5 years in a row. Heck in FedEx I have gotten Subcontractor if the month twice.
Yet I am one of the worse drivers in the region.

Well a few years ago FedEx started Ground, Kinkos, Freight, Home Delivery..

Now think about it as a FedEx Express employee  you have to think to yourself, we used to do everything and now they start these cheaper services.. And management says  ” Go out and get those sales leads even if they are for Ground or Home Delivery”

Ok  No1 what time do I have to be a salesmen, that is why we have sales reps right ? an N0 2 what in the hell are they doing in the friggin first place because its their job, am I wrong here ? and No 3 . let me get this straight you want me to make dels or pickups on time and make my daily numbers but your expecting me to do someone Else’s job who makes more money than me,works in air condition and just does less work than me in general so they can get the sale and take work away from the Express side !

And oh yea by the way, the powers that be knew by starting Ground, Home and Kinko’s they would be taking work away from us Express employees.. In the past year my freight has gone down while I see Ground and Home del trucks FULL ! and at the stops I used to be at !

Ummmmmm Soooo whats gonna happen to us Express employees, Ill tell ya people have been fired for bullshit reasons over the past two years..But its only the people they don’t like and speak their mind like me ( More on this later but yea I’m pretty friggin nervous for the past 3 years) .. Oh yea some people in my station don’t get fired for the same stuff that former terminated employees  with more seniority did..

I do gotta admit some employees that were only with the company 6 months to a year got fired and they ended up dissolving their routes and dividing the work up to have less routes running..Humm what a coincidence

The Conversation I had Last week with my manager

Jackass : We have to cut hours because we are light on stops and package volume

Me: Well Ground and Home are getting a lot of my stops, hell 4 stops last week they called me for a Pick Up By accident I had to tell them to call ground so we have to be making money there no ?

Jackass: Well yes we are but  Express is not doing well

Me : Well what do you expect when you have two other companys that do the same job I do for less ? So are you going to lower my stops per hour then..

Jackass: I have to get to a meeting Ill see you when I get in..

So they knew in advance years ago what was going to happen and did not care about us who have been with the company through the worst of times and busted our asses to make the company what it is today.. then they get rid of people through loopholes they created..

Its just so discouraging  is all, man I need a drink already
