Going Home Sick

Yea Fucking Right..

A few weeks ago I came off the road and was getting over a cold and was still pretty sick, I was actually nodding off  sitting at the Traffic lights on the way back to the station.. Being a lil sick and drained from doing over 50 + pick ups in the snow - it being dark makes your drowsy..

I get back to the building and getting all MY work done my manager comes up to me and says we need you in the cans tonite, I say I am sick ( I could barely even talk) an going home to finish up my medicine and go to bed..

then the asshole says well can you give me 20 min, I say no… Then the jerkoff says well how about 10 we are understaffed, while he is telling me this there are people going fucking home.. Now no matter what if you are that bad in a pickle you are to keep people its called operational need..

then I get pissed and say ” look you are even lucky I even came in today an run my rt and not call out sick , I am going home and will be in tomorrow ” He just stood there like his brain was sucked out an didn’t say shit ..

More proof to say that the Job is more important than you no matter what they say

The Fedex Double Standard

Over the years I thought I was crazy, and sometimes I thought well maybe its me.. Well it wasnt..

1. Customer service is first ! …. But only if it does not interfere with your numbers of productivity  and whether or not they are shipping out a package or not..

2. Employee Safety is a priority drive safely - But hurry the fuck up and get back to the building

3. We will never tell you to ever  falseify … but wont say anything if you do- But if you get caught well its you or me and well we never ( ahem cough) condoned it anyway so have fun on the unemployment line

4. We will never put the driver in an unsafe position-Well not admittingly anyway-and besides your a professional driver and you were in control and should have said something- Oh you did sorry we didnt hear you from 2 feet away

5.  Your going to have lates ? Dont worry just go with it you will be ok… Hey your done ? ok just come into my office and sign off on this OLCC for the lates you have- It doesent mean a thing but 3 in a row you get a performance reminder and three of those an we have to let you go hey its in policy sorry !

6. Fedex Managers always follow policy ! well only when it applies to  us and not the employee

7.  There is no forced overtime and every courier gets the required rest they need ! Sorry bud you cant go home operational need, oh and dont worry about those going home before you worry about yourself

Fedex Home Delivery Driver Part 1

This comes from one of  our Fedex Home Del brothers in  New York State ! Its another example on what we have to deal with..

I found your site by accident. I have been a Fedex driver for a year and a half.
Before that I was in DHL, but it was enjoyable considering the managers never ride
your back. However, since I have been in this company there is nothing but
nippicking every day. I have joined FedEx home delivery in September of last year.
In the beginning everything was in the up and up. I was able to take a route that
adverage in 70 stops per day and raised it to 110 a day. Not much of an increase,
but it was my personal best. Then the sudden change happen, First I was yelled at by
both the ststion manager and the route owner about leaving packages in secure
apartment buildings. Even though during my training I was told that I can leave
packages in a secure apt building. Yet when I told that, the very man who trained me
played deaf, dumb, and stupid. Then a month later I was pulled into the office and
gotten yelled like a three year old about bad addresses. Appearently I am supposed
to use my cell phone to either call the base or the customer to get the correct
address and re-attempt the delivery. When I explain that I was never told that my
mananger told me and qoute “Don’t be f***ing stupid.” naturally this caused a bad
argument and I was sent home for 3 days with no pay.

When I returned to work I played ball and gotten no lip during the course of the
summer, my only biggest complaint is they trying to charge me for package claims.
Then in September I was actually praised for my hard work, which was a bit
refreshing. Then out of the blue I was charged $75.00 for a package claim, when I
argue about this I was told that even though the drop was good. I didn’t place a
delivery notice, so it instantly became a bad claim. So not only $75 was taken from
my pay, I lost out on my $100 monthly bonus. Then once again I played ball, door
tagging delivered and non delivered stops. Even though my supervisors did the
opposite. suddenly, I was placed in the office and both my supervisor and the
station manager was waiting for me. I was told that I have gotten one too many
claims on my route. Even though I deliver in a heavily urban area and my supervisor
tells me that I am the only driver that he gets complains about. I tell him what did
I do. I come to base, do my route and go home. I don’t chit-chat, or waste time, I
just work. Yet I still gotten belittled.
