Fedex Home Delivery Courier Final

so now when I call FedEx with a bad address or with a delivery related question I am
told to call my supervisor, so he can call FedEx and relay my answer. A contractor
called me yesterday and infrormed me that after the christmas rush I will be fired
for insubornation. He told me that he will testify in my behalf for unemployment. He
isn’t the only one who told me this. Then this mourning I recieved a phone call by
my supervisor and he tells me that the rumors are true, but if I am willing to take
a $50 pay cut he will keep me on. I am in the verge of attacking both my supervisor
and my station manager, but in this economy where everyone needs a job, should I
take this abuse? When I call OSHA I was told that it is my word against them and 88%
of the time it is their word that will be believed. When I call the FedEx complaints
and try to say something about my situation I am yes to death and told that if I
don’t like it just quit. “Just quit.” that is their answer to my problem. Just quit.
Never mind the wife and 5 kids I am supporting. Never mind that if I do quit, I
cannot collect unemployment. I am a driver for FedEx home delivery in the Liverpool
terminal over by Syracuse NY. I am constantly belittled and yelled upon and I hold
my sanity and temper for the benifit of my family. I come to work just to get
harrassed. I come to work, just to be look down on. The contractor is spineless to
speak up against the station manager because one of his driver had one accidents too
many and he is on the verge of loosing his contract. Yet I am the worse driver. Well
that is a load off my chest, sorry for the lenthy E-mail.

See what happens when they wanna get rid of you, and me and him are almost going through the same thing just different branches of the company. I am sure there are more like us !

Fedex Home Delivery Driver Part 1

This comes from one of  our Fedex Home Del brothers in  New York State ! Its another example on what we have to deal with..

I found your site by accident. I have been a Fedex driver for a year and a half.
Before that I was in DHL, but it was enjoyable considering the managers never ride
your back. However, since I have been in this company there is nothing but
nippicking every day. I have joined FedEx home delivery in September of last year.
In the beginning everything was in the up and up. I was able to take a route that
adverage in 70 stops per day and raised it to 110 a day. Not much of an increase,
but it was my personal best. Then the sudden change happen, First I was yelled at by
both the ststion manager and the route owner about leaving packages in secure
apartment buildings. Even though during my training I was told that I can leave
packages in a secure apt building. Yet when I told that, the very man who trained me
played deaf, dumb, and stupid. Then a month later I was pulled into the office and
gotten yelled like a three year old about bad addresses. Appearently I am supposed
to use my cell phone to either call the base or the customer to get the correct
address and re-attempt the delivery. When I explain that I was never told that my
mananger told me and qoute “Don’t be f***ing stupid.” naturally this caused a bad
argument and I was sent home for 3 days with no pay.

When I returned to work I played ball and gotten no lip during the course of the
summer, my only biggest complaint is they trying to charge me for package claims.
Then in September I was actually praised for my hard work, which was a bit
refreshing. Then out of the blue I was charged $75.00 for a package claim, when I
argue about this I was told that even though the drop was good. I didn’t place a
delivery notice, so it instantly became a bad claim. So not only $75 was taken from
my pay, I lost out on my $100 monthly bonus. Then once again I played ball, door
tagging delivered and non delivered stops. Even though my supervisors did the
opposite. suddenly, I was placed in the office and both my supervisor and the
station manager was waiting for me. I was told that I have gotten one too many
claims on my route. Even though I deliver in a heavily urban area and my supervisor
tells me that I am the only driver that he gets complains about. I tell him what did
I do. I come to base, do my route and go home. I don’t chit-chat, or waste time, I
just work. Yet I still gotten belittled.
