Category: Going Home Sick
Yea Fucking Right..
A few weeks ago I came off the road and was getting over a cold and was still pretty sick, I was actually nodding off sitting at the Traffic lights on the way back to the station.. Being a lil sick and drained from doing over 50 + pick ups in the snow - it being dark makes your drowsy..
I get back to the building and getting all MY work done my manager comes up to me and says we need you in the cans tonite, I say I am sick ( I could barely even talk) an going home to finish up my medicine and go to bed..
then the asshole says well can you give me 20 min, I say no… Then the jerkoff says well how about 10 we are understaffed, while he is telling me this there are people going fucking home.. Now no matter what if you are that bad in a pickle you are to keep people its called operational need..
then I get pissed and say ” look you are even lucky I even came in today an run my rt and not call out sick , I am going home and will be in tomorrow ” He just stood there like his brain was sucked out an didn’t say shit ..
More proof to say that the Job is more important than you no matter what they say

First off I would like to thank everybody for visiting my blog, its a pleasure to have everybody’s interest and support !
With that being said … I only run the E-Mail stories that I believe to be true, trust me I know the difference.. I have been with the company over 20 years and the shit I have seen and been through is ridiculous.. And even the things I am going through now, 10 years ago I wanted to be in Management so I went through all the steps and when I actually saw what it took to be a manager I backed out.. So I also have first hand sight of what they do.. I have kept in touch with all the people I have started with over the years an they work in other parts of the Country , so they have been telling me what has been happening to them and the people they have been working with and so on..
Its your right to believe what I post, but I started this blog because I know I am not alone on what Fedex had been doing with me.. Do not get me wrong when I started with Fedex I loved the job, I enjoyed going to work and had the Fedex pride.. But when I hit my 15 years everything just changed I could not even take care of my customers anymore with out having to answer a ton of questions..
We do not have a Union so we do not have anyone to stick up for us, yea we have Human Resources but they are more for the company than for us.. I have copies of all my battles with Memphis I just can not post them right now because I really do not want them to know who I am yet.. Because of the retaliation I would face , hey I still need a job to pay the bills.. But it does not mean I have to take the Company’s shit and have them treat me than less of a person..
Me and thousands of other Fedex employees have built that company, we run around in the Rain, Sleet and Snow. We go into the Bad Areas to Deliver and Pick up packages and not to mention run the risk of having bad accidents.. We have the bulls eye on our backs..and correct the company and management fuck ups
And they sit collect the bonus checks and bark out orders and get to have lives outside the company and take care of the employee favorites.. While others like me get fucked !
I don’t know if I can change anything for the better, but I will let it be known on the good people who work hard get treated.. And the Lazy ass employees who do not even deserve a job get taken care of .. I don’t even know on how some of the couriers I work with still have a fucking job its comical.. They fuck with me but the courier that refused to deliver a medical package because she had a fucking hair appointment is beyond me
Later everybody and thank you agian

so now when I call FedEx with a bad address or with a delivery related question I am
told to call my supervisor, so he can call FedEx and relay my answer. A contractor
called me yesterday and infrormed me that after the christmas rush I will be fired
for insubornation. He told me that he will testify in my behalf for unemployment. He
isn’t the only one who told me this. Then this mourning I recieved a phone call by
my supervisor and he tells me that the rumors are true, but if I am willing to take
a $50 pay cut he will keep me on. I am in the verge of attacking both my supervisor
and my station manager, but in this economy where everyone needs a job, should I
take this abuse? When I call OSHA I was told that it is my word against them and 88%
of the time it is their word that will be believed. When I call the FedEx complaints
and try to say something about my situation I am yes to death and told that if I
don’t like it just quit. “Just quit.” that is their answer to my problem. Just quit.
Never mind the wife and 5 kids I am supporting. Never mind that if I do quit, I
cannot collect unemployment. I am a driver for FedEx home delivery in the Liverpool
terminal over by Syracuse NY. I am constantly belittled and yelled upon and I hold
my sanity and temper for the benifit of my family. I come to work just to get
harrassed. I come to work, just to be look down on. The contractor is spineless to
speak up against the station manager because one of his driver had one accidents too
many and he is on the verge of loosing his contract. Yet I am the worse driver. Well
that is a load off my chest, sorry for the lenthy E-mail.
See what happens when they wanna get rid of you, and me and him are almost going through the same thing just different branches of the company. I am sure there are more like us !

The following day I was attacked on my route by three hooligans. I placed a police
report and was ordered to continue my route. I beleive the words were “Man, we have
no one to cover for you. If you go home we may have to rethink your employment with
us.” During the rest of that day I just wanted to go home. I attempted a delivery
and accidently scanned it as delivered, but placed a delivery attempt door tag. A
few hours later, I gotten a phone call and was asked about the delivery. I just
wanted to go home. My right eye was swollen, my nose had dried blood, and my ribs
was killing me. So I told him no, I didn’t have it and at the time I thought I
didn’t. When I went to the next stop I seen it and called the base and told them
that I had it and was going to attempt the delivery. So the station manager accused
me of stealing and the bastard called the cops and demaned my job. The cops waited
for me at the womans house and I explained the situation. So the officers scolded
the station manager and told me to go home. When I returned to work the next day. I
once again went into the office. Scolded for having 11 non deliver packages and was
told that I was on a very thin line.
Ever since then I was basically harassed every day. I gotten a complaint that I
didn’t knock the door hard enough so I was forced to watch a 20min video. Then I
gotten a complaint for knocking too hard and I was scolded by the station managers
earlier that day then by my supervisors a few hours later. I gotten yelled at for
attempting a package to a business that don’t open until 12pm. So I was ordered that
no matter where I am, I have to drop everything and deliver the package. Yet when I
do that I get yelled at about falling behind. I think I hit my mark last week.
I attempted a delivery to a man who wasn’t home, so I placed a doortag and thought
that was it. The following day this elderly gentleman who was around 70 strolls in
and screamed his pants off, claiming that he was home all day and I never showed up.
I told my station mananger that I have done three deliveries in that very same
building that day, and he wasn’t home. So they punched up my delivery sheet. First
they asked me why I did a delivery @ 1:26 pm and drove three blocks, went up 15
floors and attempted a delivery @ 1:27. I told him that I did not realize that I
didn’t close out the last stop until I gotten to the following stop. So I was called
a liar to my face. I told him don’t call me a liar and I was there. They say
computers don’t lie and it shows that I never went to his apartment, yet how was I
able to deliver three other stops in that same building. (If I was never there) So
they said that I never gave the man enough time so my supervisor lost his $400
monthly bonus. So my supervisor charged me $100 for loosing his bonus and was told
that I am one of the top three worse drivers in the Syracuse region. Worse driver? I
never gotten a ticket in 10 years. In DHL I have gotten best customer service award
for 5 years in a row. Heck in FedEx I have gotten Subcontractor if the month twice.
Yet I am one of the worse drivers in the region.

This comes from one of our Fedex Home Del brothers in New York State ! Its another example on what we have to deal with..
I found your site by accident. I have been a Fedex driver for a year and a half.
Before that I was in DHL, but it was enjoyable considering the managers never ride
your back. However, since I have been in this company there is nothing but
nippicking every day. I have joined FedEx home delivery in September of last year.
In the beginning everything was in the up and up. I was able to take a route that
adverage in 70 stops per day and raised it to 110 a day. Not much of an increase,
but it was my personal best. Then the sudden change happen, First I was yelled at by
both the ststion manager and the route owner about leaving packages in secure
apartment buildings. Even though during my training I was told that I can leave
packages in a secure apt building. Yet when I told that, the very man who trained me
played deaf, dumb, and stupid. Then a month later I was pulled into the office and
gotten yelled like a three year old about bad addresses. Appearently I am supposed
to use my cell phone to either call the base or the customer to get the correct
address and re-attempt the delivery. When I explain that I was never told that my
mananger told me and qoute “Don’t be f***ing stupid.” naturally this caused a bad
argument and I was sent home for 3 days with no pay.
When I returned to work I played ball and gotten no lip during the course of the
summer, my only biggest complaint is they trying to charge me for package claims.
Then in September I was actually praised for my hard work, which was a bit
refreshing. Then out of the blue I was charged $75.00 for a package claim, when I
argue about this I was told that even though the drop was good. I didn’t place a
delivery notice, so it instantly became a bad claim. So not only $75 was taken from
my pay, I lost out on my $100 monthly bonus. Then once again I played ball, door
tagging delivered and non delivered stops. Even though my supervisors did the
opposite. suddenly, I was placed in the office and both my supervisor and the
station manager was waiting for me. I was told that I have gotten one too many
claims on my route. Even though I deliver in a heavily urban area and my supervisor
tells me that I am the only driver that he gets complains about. I tell him what did
I do. I come to base, do my route and go home. I don’t chit-chat, or waste time, I
just work. Yet I still gotten belittled.

Well the holidays are supposed to be filled with cheer and happyness.. Well not at my station, it appears that the day after thanksgiving they were not running the Fulltime Midday routes. Like they didnt last year, you see last year us full time midday routes were given the day after thanksgiving off and we could take a personal day of a floating holiday..
Well this year us middayers were told we couldent take the day off eventhought our routes were cut, so they made us come in the morning an work for one hour..So now midday fulltimers only get paid for four hours instead of the full 8 if we were to take a personal day or floating holiday ( by default fulltimers get paid four hours automaticly if they work less than four hours).. And I was EVEN TOLD I could not take a personal day..
But one month ago all the managers in our district had a huge district meeting at one of the most expensive hotels here and they went on a boat cruise afetwards and were told by the senior district manager to take the next day off..
So they have the money for Hotels and Cruises on big party ships but still have to cut our hours ???? and mess with our money eventhough they dont have too.. Man it just gets worse and worse for the hard working employees dont it ?
